  • PhD candidate. Centre for Child and Family Studies, Leiden University (2011 – present). Supervisors: prof.  M.J. Bakermans-Kranenburg, prof. B.M. Elzinga, and prof. L.R.A. Alink. Research project focuses on intergenerational transmission of maltreatment and risk factors for child maltreatment.

  • Research assistant at the SAND study, supervised by prof. dr. P.M. Westenberg. Developmental Psychology Unit, Leiden University (2007-2010).

  • MSc (cum laude). Child and Adolescent Psychology, Leiden University (2009). Master’s thesis: “Executive functioning and psychosocial development during adolescence - The relationship between cognitive control and ego development in 9- to 17-year olds”.

  • Research internship at the ‘Social Anxiety and Normal Development’ (SAND) study, involving qualitative data analysis (developing a coding system for interviews). Developmental Psychology Unit, Leiden University (2008).
