On October 24, 2005, Nicole Jaffari-Bimmel earned her PhD-degree at Leiden University.

The title of her thesis was Development and adjustment of adopted adolescents: Longitudinal and concurrent factors.

She was supervised by Prof.Dr F. Juffer, Prof.Dr M.H. van IJzendoorn, and Dr M.J. Bakermans-Kranenburg.
