Cannabis & social development
Recent scientific research strongly supports notions of an association between cannabis use and mental health, focusing on early adolescence. In our research, we investigate the relation between cannabis use and impairments in social information processing and related mental health problems.
This relationship will be investigated in a large population sample of early adolescents (n=2230) enrolled in the TRAILS-study. This group will be investigated every second year until they reach the age of 24. In addition, we are interested in the relationship between social functioning, cognitive neuroscience and cannabis use.
