Anne Helder received her MSc. degree in clinical neuropsychology at the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam. During two years of clinical work at a center for children with learning disabilities, she developed an interest in the cognitive neuroscience of reading.

In November 2010 she started as a PhD student in the Brain and Education Lab at Leiden University. Her project, supervised by Prof. dr. Paul van den Broek and Dr. Linda van Leijenhorst, is on cognitive and neurological processes involved in the development of reading comprehension.

CV Anne Helder (2014)

Anne studies the neurocognitive processes involved in the development of reading comprehension. We try to compare these processes in good and poor comprehenders by using behavioral and neuroimaging methods.
