The Future of South Africa: Utopia or Apocalypse?

Conversations on the future of South Africa have a strong sense of urgency. South Africa is expected to turn apocalyptic or a great success. Some argue that South Africa will collapse like Zimbabwe while others argue that ot will become as prosperous as the BRIC countries. Erik Bähre will explore the coexistence of these utopian and dystopian visions: Why does South Africa give rise to such rich and contradictory imaginations?

Frank de Zwart (Public Administration)

The Dilemma of Recognition
