Role of the associated partners in the project

Since primary and secondary schools - who are expected to take a more prominent role in initial teacher education and in the continuing professional development of their employees and their organizations - are an important target group of this project, a number of pilot schools from each country will be involved in the project. The focus of this project is on identifying and formulating guidelines for developing school units as professional learning environments for teachers. The following activities will involve the associated schools:

  • Country based sessions to involve the schools

The common framework plans and actions will be explained to the schools that will be part of the project. This will be done in workshops with teachers

  • Try outs of the newly adapted or developed instruments in school/college units.  Instruments will be applied and tested in school/team settings
  • Feedback reports will be composed and distributed to all member schools
  • Administering the adapted instrument in work units within two schools/colleges per country
Feedback session per school including discussions on the meaning of the data and implications for the work processes in schools
