The Staatliches Seminar für Didaktik und Lehrerbildung (Gymnasien) Tübingen in Germany was founded in 1948 and is a state budgeted Higher Education Institute. A staff of over 70 professional educators covering almost 20 different subject areas prepares trainee teachers for teaching in grammar schools.  As “didactic centre” the institution cooperates with schools, universities and other institutions.

Dr. Peter Kliemann has been working in teacher education for almost 20 years. He offers seminars and workshops in in-service education and is the author and editor of numerous didactical publications and teaching materials. Current activities and interests: Correlation between religious studies, philosophy and ethics - mentoring - ethics and school development – interdisciplinary projects - teachers’ lives and careers - standards and competencies in religious education and teacher training.
