Series of lectures on Comparative Politics for Alumni

On five Thursday evenings in October and November 2009, the alumni organisation "Leidse Alumnivereniging van Politicologen" (LAP) organises a series of lectures on Comparative Politics. Five professors of the Institute of Political Science (the new name of the Department) will give a talk on this topic.
After the very successful mini-lecture-evenings "Back to college" in 2007 and 2008, several members of the LAP asked for more in-depth lectures. In co-operation with some enthousiastic lecturers a first series of lectures have been set up. This series of lectures provides an opportunity to really go back to college and devote several evenings to "our profession". Something most of us do not have time for in our daily jobs.
Comparative Politics
As the first theme the LAP has opted for Comparative Politics. Each week a lecturer will discuss a certain area of Comparative Politics. No preparation is needed for the evenings. Some lecturers will send the participants several articles or back ground information in advance.
