Dr. Tanja E. Aalberts is assistant professor International Relations. After her studies Public Administration at Twente University, she obtained an MA degree International Relations Theory from the University of Wales, Aberystwyth. She received her PhD from the Vrije Universiteit, Amsterdam. Her thesis discusses the continuity and change of the sovereignty principle. Her research interests include the relation between politics and international law, international institutions, state failure, as well as (meta)theoretical debates within International Relations theory. Tanja Aalberts is teaching 'International Relations Theory' (MA IRD), the MA seminar 'Humanitarian Intervention', and 'Frontiers of Political Science' in the MPhil.
Tanja Aalberts is out of the office until December 2010.
