Dr. Tom Louwerse is a postdoctoral research fellow and teacher at the Institute of Political Science. He is part of the research group on Political Legitimacy: Institutions and Identities. His Ph.D thesis is titled Political Parties and the Democratic Mandate: Comparing Collective Mandate Fulfilment in the United Kingdom and the Netherlands. His research interests include political representation, political legitimacy, political parties and parliamentary behaviour.
