Student Desk

The Political Science Student desk (room 5A57) is open from Monday - Thursday from 10.00-12.00hrs. 

The Student desk is available for: questions on registration for courses and exams, submitting papers (in the blue letterbox), information on availability of professors, questions on studying abroad etc. The Student desk can be reached (within the opening hours) by telephone 071 5273950, or at all times by e-mail. Information on courses and time tables can be found in the e-Prospectus.

  • Belinda Helder-Philippo is coördinator of the student administration. She is also responsible for the timetables and planning of exams. She is in the office on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8:45 - 15:00hrs.
  • Miranda Schouten works at the administration desk. She is also responsible for the first year Leiden BA students and for study abroad and exchange students. She is in the office on Monday and Tuesday from 8.30 – 17.00hrs and on Wednesday morning from 8.30 – 12.30hrs.
  • Ana Rodriguez Polanco works at the administration and at the student desk. She is responsible for the administrative matters regarding second and third year BA students. She is in the office on Monday, Thursday and Friday from 8.30 – 17.00hrs.
  • Tessa Thomas works at the administration desk and at the student desk and is responsible for the administrative matters regarding admissions and graduations of master students. She also organises events and books trips for the staff of the department. She is in the office on Tuesday morning from 8.30 – 12.30hrs and on Wednesday and Thursday from 8.30 – 17.15hrs. 
  • Marianne Boere takes care of the information and logistics concerning the Master Programmes. She and Tessa Thomas together form the secretariat of the admittance committee for new Master students. She is in the office Monday to Thursday from 8.30 – 17.00hrs.
