Curriculum Vitae

Philip Spinhoven (1954) completed his Bachelors in Philosophy in 1975 and his Masters in Clinical Psychology (cum laude) in 1981. He received his PhD in 1989 on the basis of his thesis entitled “Hypnosis and pain control”. From 1981 to 1997 he was an assistant professor and subsequently an associate professor at the Department of Psychiatry of the Leiden University Medical Center. At present he holds a chair in Clinical Psychology and is Dean of the Leiden Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences. Read his Curriculum Vitae (pdf) for further details.
