Andreas Burger studied at Glasgow University, and Leiden University, where he obtained his degree as a research master Clinical and Health psychology in 2014. After having obtained his degree, Andreas worked as a junior researcher at the Depression and Bipolar Depression departments of PsyQ in The Hague, where he specialized in studying the influence of light on mood disorders. In November 2014, he started his PhD under the supervision of Bart Verkuil on the topic of transcutaneous Vagus Nerve stimulation and perseverative cognitions.
In my research projects, I will focus primarily on the role of vagus nerve stimulation on fear reconsolidation and perseverative cognitions.
