Chabani, Drs. E. (MSc)

"Intelligence comprises a very wide array of cognitive and other skills or potential. Our goal in measurement should be to figure out what these skills and capacities are and how best to assess and possibly boost them; not only to combine scores into a single value such as an IQ."

Ellahe Chabani
is a lifelong student and a PhD student at the unit Developmental and Educational Psychology of the Institute of Psychology at Leiden University. After her diploma in Industrial Electronics Engineering she started her career as an electronic engineering and computer instructor at a French Technical College and more recently as a consultant and instructor for international schools and organizations in the Netherlands. Her scientific interests broadened to the field of psychology. She obtained her master’s degree from Leiden University.  In 2007, Ellahe won a 4-year NWO Mozaïek grant.

Her current interest is to bridge her two domains of expertise by developing and implementing a computerized dynamic assessment of both learning potential and training of complex visual-spatial reasoning potential for young children.

For a full description of her research programme, see Computerized Dynamic Testing and Cognitive Training for complex visual-spatial tasks.
