Anouk Netten studied medicine at the Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC), and worked as an MD at the department of Head- and Neck Oncology of the Erasmus Medical Centre in Rotterdam.
Anouk is currently enrolled in a PhD-project concerning the socio-emotional development of children who are deaf or hard of hearing. The project focusses on the effects of early intervention of hearing loss on the development of children in the Netherlands and Belgium under the supervision of Prof. dr. ir. Johan Frijns and Prof. dr. Carolien Rieffe. This is a unique collaboration between the department of otorhinolaryngology of the Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC), the department of developmental psychology of Leiden University and the Dutch foundation for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Child (NSDSK).
After finishing this project she will start her residency in Otorhinolaryngology at the LUMC in October 2016.
