Jaap Oppedijk is secretary in the unit Developmental and Educational Psychology of the Institute of Psychology at Leiden University.

After having completed his study of Theology at Leiden University, and before joining the unit, he worked in other secretarial functions at the Faculty of Social Sciences, starting in the section Youth Studies of the Education Department. He also worked as the secretary of PIOOM, the former research institute for the study of causes of human rights violations, and of the national research school ISED.

Jaap’s tasks include staff support, technical preparation for exams, development of procedures for the registration and assessment of courses, unit website management, registration of staff publications, paperwork for personnel appointments, picture and graph adaptations. He is a member of the Information and Communication Technology Committee of the Department of Psychology.
