Kirsten Touw is a research assistant and PhD student in the Developmental and Educational Psychology unit of the Institute of Psychology. She combines her work at the university with a position as a psychologist at Koninklijke Kentalis in Amsterdam, working with children with a (severe) language disorder and at a school for deaf and hard-of-hearing children.
She obtained her master’s degree in Child and Adolescent Psychology at Leiden University and has a special interest in educational psychology.
Currently, Kirsten is working as a lecturer in the bachelor and master thesis courses within the Developmental and Educational Psychology department. She also assists Professor Wilma Resing in research concerning Dynamic Testing. She recently started her PhD project, supervised by Professor Wilma Resing, focusing on the effectiveness of Dynamic Testing and the relation with school and language performances of children.
