Methodology and Statistics

The research programme of the unit Methodology and Statistics aims at the development, evaluation and application of models for analysis of psychological research data.

Characteristic is the multivariate approach: relations of several variables are taken into consideration. Another important element is the hypothesis that models always suppose a relation betwee observerd variables and a latent structure.

Subprogrammes

  1. The development and application of methodes and techniques for longitudinal research
  2. The development and application of multivariate models for latent structure analysis
  3. The development and application of methods for multidimensional scaling
  4. The development and application of models for multilevel analysis
