Emma ter Mors graduated (cum laude) in Social and Organizational Psychology at Leiden University (1999-2003). After graduating, Emma started as PhD Candidate at the department of Social and Organizational Psychology at this same university (September 2004-September 2008). Under supervision of Mieneke Weenig, Naomi Ellemers, and Dancker Daamen, she carried out research on the influence of source perceptions on the selection, processing and acceptance of complex information concerning recently developed CO2 capture, transport, and storage (CCS) technology. Upon completion of her dissertation entitled "Dealing with information about complex issues: The role of source perceptions", she became assistant professor at this department (September 2008-January 2009)., Emma is currently employed as post-doctoral researcher and performs follow-up research on public awareness and perception of CCS technology (January 2009-now).
