Marieke Bos is a postdoctoral researcher and teacher in the unit Developmental and Educational Psychology of the Institute of Psychology at Leiden University.

She obtained her Master’s degree from the University of Amsterdam in 2008. In 2014, she received her PhD in Clinical Psychology from the same university under supervision of Prof. Merel Kindt and Prof. Tom Beckers. In her PhD project entitled ‘Challenging emotional memory’ she focused on the plasticity of emotional memory combining insights from experimental psychopathology, physiological indices and behavioral neuroscience.

Her current research focuses on the social emotional development of children with autism spectrum disorder. Her research is part of the Focus on Emotions Lab of Prof. Carolien Rieffe.
