Christiane Möller PhD
Christiane Möller got her PhD at the Alzheimer Center of the VU university medical center in Amsterdam, where she also worked as a Neuropsychologist. Her research focused on the improvement of the diagnosis between patients with Alzheimer’s disease and the behavioral variant of Frontotemporal Dementia by using Magnetic resonance imaging. To discover patterns of structural and functional change, she analyzed the anatomical and functional connectivity of a large amount of brain scans. The aim of her current work is to make an individual diagnosis possible for a single patient. By using machine learning techniques she will try to predict who is going to develop dementia and how fast a patient’s cognitive abilities will deteriorate.
