Joanne Mouthaan received her Master’s degree in Psychology at Utrecht University in 2001. In 2014, she received her PhD in Psychology at the University of Amsterdam. During her PhD research, she focused on the incidence, prediction and prevention of post-trauma psychopathology in injured trauma patients. Before and during her PhD work, she performed research into, among others, the health and wellbeing of peacekeeping veterans, PTSD risk screening in police officers and disaster victims, and stepped psychosocial care at the emergency department. Joanne Mouthaan currently works as lecturer and mentor to Master students of Clinical Psychology.
